PIA VPN

Je ne sais pas si c'est au bon endroit mais je fais ce post ici car j'utilise Manjaro Cinnamon..
Donc la semaine derniere quand j'etais toujours sous LM18 j'utilisais PIA pour mon VPN. Mais pour manjaro j'ai un soucis car les fichiers PIA sont en DEB.
J'ai demandé une info à PIA qui me fournit ceci:

I need to use PIA on my computer, which runs Manjaro Linux, which is based of Arch Linux. I tried to install the linux app, but it wont run. I tried installing the openvpn files, but I can't get that to work either. How can I use PIA?
I have not been successful in getting the pia-tools or private-internet-access profiles working from the AUR, but the steps below will work for both KDE and XFCE (should with any DE).

1. Make sure you install both Openvpn and Networkmanager-Openvpn. Without both, it will not work. I reboot after installing, although it probably isn't necessary.

2. Download the .ovpn zip files and extract them.

3. Go to your network manager and go to your connection editor.

4. Click on Add and go down to Import VPN.

5. Find the VPN that .ovpn file you want.

6. Open/edit the connection. You will need to enter your username and can store your password so you don't have to enter it every time. Then click on Advanced and then the Security tab. The cipher should be AES-128-CBC and HMAC Authentication SHA-1 for the standard UDP or AES-256-CBC and HMAC Authentication SHA-256.

7. From here, you can click connect under your network manager. Option 2 is to have it automatically start with your wifi connection. Just select that wifi connection in Network Manager and click the box to start the VPN.

Est-ce valable pour manjaro cinnamon ou ya-il une autre solution??

J'ai essayé ce que m'a suggéré leeroyke mais cela ne fonctionne pas pour moi helas..
au final je n'ai pas de possibilité de vpn proposé dans NetworkManager
Vu qu'avec PIA j'arrive en fin de contrat, ya t'il un vpn compatible et facilement installable pour manjaro?

je me suis rendu compte que mon probleme de base etait la liaison entre networkmanager et openvpn. il m'a fallu installer le plugin openvpn pour networkmanager et tout fonctionne. enfin presque.
car je n'ai acces qu'à seulement 5 ou 6 serveurs sur tous ceux à dispo.
Par contre chez moi redemarrer uniquement networkmanager, il a fallu que je redemarre le pc et tout etait ok.
C'est dommage que l'icone du vpn en fontion remplace celle de networkmanager. ce serait plus sympa d'avoir une icone spécifique pour le vpn..

Oui il faut impérativement le plugin openvpn pour networmanager avant.

Les serveur qui ne sont pas dispo, t'arrive pas à te connecter c'est ça ? Tu as bien fait un fichier dans /etc/private-internet-access/login.conf avec tes identifiants ? Et les droits de ce fichier sont bons ?

oui leeroyke j'ai fais exactement comme l'indiquait la procedure que tu m'avais donné. la seule chose que je n'ai pas faite c'est d'etre loggé directement. actuellement mon vpn fonctionne bien excepte tous ces serveurs manquants.
là je n'ai que 5 serveurs: us new york city,france,au melbourne,germany et us seattle.

Par contre en effectuant comme indiqué: pia -a j'ai eu une ou plusieurs erreurs..

Ok, Il faudrais savoir quelle était les erreurs du script 'pia -a', tu l'as bien lancer en root ?

En fait si je laisse par défaut pia.conf avec les 4 serveurs par defaut il n'y a pas d'erreurs. mais si je modifie pia.conf en lui ajoutant les serveurs j'ai une erreur qui s'affiche sur la derniere ligne..
donc par defaut je n'ai que: uk london, us west, us east et japan

Voilà!
pour que l'erreur puisse etre authentifiee, j'ai rajouté des serveurs à la suite des 4 serveurs de base..
j'ai donc refais: sudo pia -a
